Field Day 2008 was hosted by KB2VLP and KB2VLO again this year on Kilts Hill Road, Little Falls, NY. The association represented our ARRL section as W2FHA 3A WNY with four transmitters and the GOTA station. Below are a few photos of the weekend. Everyone had a great time.

Field Day 2008 Message

This is Special Bulletin 7 from ARRL Headquarters Newington Connecticut June 27 2008

To All Radio Amateurs 

Few events in amateur radio generate as much excitement as ARRL Field Day. This weekend thousands of operators and participants will complete over one million QSO’s. Whether operating CW and single sideband or using newer digital modes such as Olivia or JT65 the main purpose of Field Day is simple have fun. Clubs from across all time zones will use the new educational activity bonus to broaden the knowledge base of their members.  This is W1AW 

The fastest and best way to submit your basic Field Day summary is to use the http://www.bravo4h.net web form. Complete the summary sheet online and then e-mail or mail the supporting documentation. When you use the online submission form you earn an additional fifty bonus points. Complete information is found at http://www.arrl.org\contests\rules\2008\fd.html . This is W1AW 

However you do it just remember to get on the air this weekend and have fun. A record 2,331 entries were received for ARRL FD 2007. May you receive 59 signal reports from every ARRL section as you participate and help set a new record in 2008 73.
